Heidi was a little scared of her candle, so I helped her blow it out, and made a wish for another happy year with her!
Three Melins girls, all celebrating Miss Heidi (who's there in the middle, delicately picking coconut from her own special cake made by Grandma Melin).
OH MY! It took Heidi a while to realize she could really dig in to her cake, but soon she stopped being dainty and started CHOWING!
Heidi's party was a "Book Party," meaning she got lots of books as gifts (not toys :)). All the kids had fun reading the books...maybe we will open a library in the new house!
There's Heidi opening her card from Great Grandma & Grandpa Elrey...thanks, guys!!
On Saturday evening, after working hard on the house, Rich came home and suggested we take a picnic to the ranch. So we packed up the party leftovers and went to enjoy the end of a beautiful day! Here's Rich with his little ladies.
YIKES! It's Heidi-zilla raiding the picninc basket (I took this laying on the blanket).
There's Heidi, our big one-year-and-one-day-old girl, eating a cookie in the sunshine. She's a babydoll.
This is the mighty Yellowstone River right in front the barn, looking north east-ish. See Rich and Addie throwing rocks in the river? Addie LOVES doing that.
Here's a shot of the barn and Heidi Lynn rummaging through the picnic refuse.
That's me and my girls, as the sun was setting. Shortly thereafter, we had to pack it in because the bugs started coming out! What a nice evening at the ranch!
