Here is a photo I was afraid I 'd never get to take--it took me forever to get married and start having kids and I was afraid my kids would never know my grandpa. Not only do they know him, they adore him--if you could see Addie's eyes, you could tell. Even with 1200 miles between us, he and Grandma are a big part of our family life.

That picture is so sweet. Its such a blessing to have such a strong bond with them and are able to pass it on to you children. I wish my girls were able to know grandma Ree. She would have loved to have them over and wash their hair with vinegar, make them sit up straight, take them out to buy Sunday shoes, eat ice cream crunch bars. I am sure she really does know them well and can't wait to be reunited with everyone!
