Guess Who's Here?!...

...My Grandparents! Gram & Gramp Elrey DROVE the 1300 miles from Tucson to Livingston (stopping in SLC for conference & mission reunion) to visit us and meet James. They arrived Monday at about 2pm when I was just getting out of the shower (after a whirlwind of house work--thanks for coming thru for me, Mom M!), the baby was at the doctor with Rich, and the girls were across the street visiting Cousin Danny. Everyone was home within a few minutes and we were so happy to be together again... Look at all the love! James snuggles with his Great Grandma Lyn...
...awwww!
The girls loved on Papa Bill (look at Heidi's face! I looove it!)
They played "show-and-tell" for a while...
...and shared more kisses...
...and more hugs, while watching Baby Einstein's "Baby Neptune" video (Heidi's current obsession). I don't have to tell you how great it is to have them here, just for the love and the company, but also because it brings me JOY to see this first and fourth generation together! It's such a blessing to watch Grandpa giggle with Addie and Heidi or to see Grandma snuggle James (etc...). These are days I always envisioned but feared I might never experience because I didn't have kids til I was 30!

I so love that my kids have the chance to spend time with their Great Great Grandma. She just turned 97 a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy the time...it's so short in the grand scheme of things.
(I hope you are feeling better...missed ya tonight at the baptisim)Loves!

Maj,

Your grandparents are the best! And what makes them even better is that people in my ward know and love them as much as I do, if not more, for their contribution to each one of our lives. What a great thing technology is too, to allow us to record visits like this one, so our children can always have a picture to attach to the memories they build, a touchstone from which to not only to remember, but to inspire. Of course, Grandma Lynn's perfume works just as well as a picture, if not more--I always think of her whenever I smell that fragrance.

Congrats on baby James!

Jamie,
How do you get text underneath your pix? I know it's a dumb question, but I cant figure out how to do it on my blog. It always puts all the pix first and then all the text, no matter what I do--help!
And cutie girls and boy--love the sweet newborns.

Mary--Upload your pix and make sure you choose the "center" alignment. Then once they are uploaded, just click the cursor in the space in between them and start typing. It usually doesn't work if I choose antoher alignment. Also, in the upper right hand corner, you can click over from "compose" to "edit html"--you can move your photos around by hilighting the code (between the < and the > )and cutting and pasting it in the order you want. Hope that makes sense... :)
