Spring, my eye!

It's snowing, and it's BEEN snowing since the sun came up (or maybe even before that). Addie had her date with Grandma today and they built a snowman. Heidi was not so lucky--she had to stay home with me and all I let her do was play in the snow on the deck.
She likes eating snow almost as much as dirt!
I should have pix of the girls in their Easter dresses later today--we took them with my mom-in-law's camera--they looked really cute in their matching Laura Ashley lilac dresses!

I just read your Education is Freedom post and I am commenting here so it doesn't get lost in the back log. In Afghanistan maybe Five percent of the population could read and who knows what part of that percentage can actually comprehend what they are reading. It made it ultra obvious why the situation was what it was. The religious leaders took full advantage the illiteracy. They could preach whatever they wanted and claim that it was from the Koran, who was going to question it? No one can read! If Education is Freedom then Ignorance is Power... for the bad guys. Go on girl and get that funding for better education. If not the future could get mighty scary.
