We got home late last night from an emotionally and physically exhausting trip to Utah...I don't think I am quite up to traveling yet, I felt terrible most of the time and most of the people we went to see weren't especially happy to see us.
But we LOVED conference (Scott's and Oaks' talks are the ones resonating right now); Rich had fun and did lots of work at Jeff's and we did have a blast with the Petersens and at Sam's little 30th Birthday party--Jill made him a great taco dinner and we all went Cosmic Bowling afterward (you can see Jill's blog for weekend details). We also had fun traveling with Peter and Zuzana. They continued on to Arches for an adventure and came back and toured SLC on Saturday. Zuzana caught her plane home to Slovakia early Sunday morinng, and I think she got home the same time we did! :) We will miss our cute little Zuzi! Peter is here for a few more weeks.
TodayRich left at 4:30 am for a conference in Great Falls and won't be home until Tuesday night. So me and the wee ones are gonna take lots of naps and live on PBJ for the next coule of days! As for now, it's naptime! Later, loves...

Can you tell me about conference? What is it exactly?
Sure! Conference happens the first Saturday and Sunday in April and in October each year. All the leaders of the church gather in Salt Lake City and many members of the church do, too. They take care of church business during conferences (in April they report all the statistics and stuff for the previous year). We meet from 10am-noon and then 2-4pm both days to hear counsel from leaders (both men and women) and music from the MoTab (Tabernacle Choir). The men have priesthood meeting on Saturday night from 6-8pm--they get a whoopin' while we girls enjoy some fun together usually (before I had kids, I always went to dinner with my girlfriends). The meetings are broadcast on satellite, internet, adn radio, then the transcripts are published online adn in the following month's Church Magazine ("Teh Ensign"). This is also the time that the prophet speaks and gives us counsel, warnings, blessings, etc. I LOVE conference weekend--it's just a time to stop the world and be spiritually filled--like and 6-month pit stop! sorry to hear you are still so tired. Page and I went down to Utah last weekend too, to see our baby boy at the Y. He and some pals had tix to saturday morning session, so we took them, and listened on the radio and did some shopping in Draper. Then Sean and I had tix for priesthood so we headed back to SLC again (we were staying in Orem). Didn't you just love the rain on sat.....? We saw the Ikea you always talk about but didnt stop. We came home on Monday afternoon. Got to eat with Sean in the CougarEat on Monday between his classes before we headed back. He loves BYU. Doing good in his classes, loves the social too. Happy kid.
