Today I am thankful for public education, specifically the excellent experience my children are having in our little local elementary schools. We have special teachers and a nurturing, family-friendly environment and it is really good for us.
For all its shortcomings, we are blessed to live in a country where literacy is a priority and education is free and available where ever you go. THANK YOU, EDUCATORS!

Our elementary schools do well. I wonder what happens in middle school?
Ken: boredom, hormones, alcohol, and peer pressure, and it's all downhill unless you have a strong family culture.
