Spencer looks just like a Kewpie Doll! That kid is way too pretty to be a boy! This is at the reception, and Melanie is in the background. Posted by Hello

There's Will with our twin midgets--Spencer in 6 weeks older than Heidi and they are so cute toddling around together. Heidi loves to rub on Spencer's fuzzy buzz cut and he likes to sit on her. Posted by Hello

Right before Cousin Dave's wedding, my brother Michael was endowed in the temple in preparation for his mission to Washington. The next day (Saturday 6/4), we all went to Mr. Mac to buy him some suits. Here is my mom helping Mike choose belts. What a great rite of passage--we even have video of Willy buying suits at Mr. Mac in 1990. Posted by Hello

What a Good Uncle

I'm not sure when this picture was taken--I stole it off of Willy's camera and I think it was mid-May--but it's so cute. That's my bro Matt giving baby Jack (his nephew) a haircut. And it shows how cute Matt is with kids and why we are so excited he's got another one on the way. I wish I had the picture from last summer when he got Isabelle dressed after a bath--he put a dress and sandals on her and even did her hair and she actully looked great! How cool is that? Rich can do a lot of things really, really well, but that's not one of them :) So Matt and Amie, congratulations again. Any combination of your genes is sure to be fantastic (but I admit we are rooting for a GIRL combination!). Posted by Hello

REUNITED (and it feels so good)

We got home on Sunday afternoon. Both of the girls AND their Daddy had been napping when we arrived, so they spent the evening playing together while mommy caught a nap after driving from Pocatello. It's always fun to see them reunited with their Dad--they're all so in love, it's hilarious. Posted by Hello

Home Again

Addie, Heidi and I got home from Utah on Sunday evening. The good news is that our new house has all of its flooring! Now we just need to finish the trim, get our countertops (let's hear it for Crazy Mountain Cabinetry for being our slowest subs!) and finish plumbing (faucets and toilets), fix up the yard, and pour a driveway! The OTHER good news came yesterday...Matt and Amie are expecting their second baby in February! How fun! Jakers will be a big brother. We are so excited for them because they are a super-cool family.

I am pretty busy, so I will post our pictures and stories from our trip later. Here's a closing laugh courtesy of Addie:

Rich: Why are you so grumpy tonight? (after a fit and some pouting during our Family Home Evening Ice Cream Outing last night)

Addie: [shouting] Because I am SICK of you guys!

Rich: That's too bad...[both of us supressing our laughter] we were having fun with you.

The rest of the way home Addie was talking to herself looking out the window, saying, "I'm not sick of clouds, I'm not sick of babies, I'm not sick of turtles, I'm not sick of sprinklers..." on and on and ON! I pulled my shirt over my face and laughed myself silly. She was still mad and still "sick of us," but not sick of anything else.

When Dave Got Married

We are in Utah to witness the union of these two lovely people (among other things). My Cousin Dave (approximately the same age as my sister, Jill) married the lovely Lacy Arnett of Orem, Utah. They have been together on and off since 2001--Lacy went on a mission in 2002 and Dave served in Afghanistan with the army in 2003-2005. They were finally reunited this spring and finally tied the knot this weekend. We are very happy for them and so proud of Dave--even though he thought he was marrying a Utah girl, he managed to intermarry another huge Arizona family. We are all so inbred--does it show???? These are my Mayberry cousins--Aunt Marti (4th from right) is my mom's only sister. Left to right: Katie wife of Kev with Baby Ben, Cousin Kevin and daughter Ryley, Scott, Matt and Cousin Maren Allred, Uncle Ralph, Lacy the Bride of Cousin Dave, Auntie M, Steven, Cousin Brent and his fiancee of about 10 hours, Amanda (they are getting married in August). Guess what the kids' favorite part of the wedding festivities was? Look at this table loaded with CANDY! It was like crack for the kids and they did everything they could to get to the table and stash little bags of candy for "later." I found FOUR bags in my diaper bag after the reception--the work of stealthy Adeline and her cohort, Cousin Liam. Posted by Hello
